How sound is the statement that purification from major ritual impurity (janabah) involves washing the penis and vulva three times, and then performing ablution (wudu') for prayer?

Ghusl (ritual bath) after major ritual impurity (janabah) is not valid unless the entire body is covered with water, along with rinsing the mouth (madmadah) and nose (istinshaq), and ensuring water reaches the hair. However, for a woman with braided hair, it is sufficient for her to squeeze her braid under the water to ensure water reaches the roots of her hair. This ruling is binding upon the Muslim even if intercourse occurs multiple times.
