Is there a Shar'i ruling that prevents a woman from leaving her home if she fears temptation from men, and how then would she attend to her needs?

A woman's leaving her house is impermissible if she fears temptation, according to Al-Bahuti: "And for a father, then a guardian [wali] or a mahram relative of a woman, such as a brother or paternal uncle, it is permissible to prevent his ward from leaving her house if he fears temptation or harm from her departure." The fear of temptation is falling into what lust calls for. A woman should limit her outings to what is absolutely necessary if she is compelled to leave in such a situation. However, if she is safe from temptation, her leaving is permissible, even if it is not out of necessity.
