If someone who has performed ritual bathing (ghusl) for major impurity (janabah) and wiped over a splint then changes the splint, must they repeat their ghusl, or do they only wipe over the new splint?
If you wipe over the-splint in ghusl al-janaba and then wish to change it to apply medicine, it suffices for you to put it back and wipe over it, and your ghusl is valid. Al-Kharashi mentioned in his commentary on Mukhtasar Khalil al-Maliki that whoever removes the interfering matters after wiping over them in wudu' or ghusl, whether voluntarily, for medicine, or if they fell off on their own, should put them back and wipe over them. If they fall off during prayer, the prayer becomes invalid, and he must put them back and wipe over them.
