What should a wife do with her family who mistreat her husband, control her life, and refuse to let her obey him, despite her happiness with him?

It is not permissible to obey one's parents if they command one to disregard the husband's words; for obedience to the husband is obligatory and takes precedence over obedience to others. It is advised to turn away from them and forgive them, and to repel evil with good, and to avoid disobeying the husband.
