How sound is a Muslim's testimony for a specific person being in Paradise, or such a testimony according to Ahl al-Sunnah, and is the Prophet's (peace be upon him) testimony dependent on the righteousness of the servant?

The methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah (definition) wal-Jama'ah (the People of the Sunnah and the Community) is not to declare any specific individual among the people of the Qiblah to be in Paradise or Hell, except with a legal proof. Nevertheless, Paradise is hoped for the virtuous, and Hell is feared for the evildoer. It is believed that a Muslim who does not commit shirk (definition) (polytheism) will not remain eternally in Hell. The description of martyrdom is applied to one who is killed while striving in the way of Allah, or in defense of oneself, one's family, or one's property, and this is based on outward appearances. There are proofs that permit applying the description of martyrdom outwardly, but this is not done with certainty unless through a divine revelation.
