Is it true that the creed of the People of the Sunnah and the Community (Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah) gives glad tidings to perpetrators of major sins, no matter how great their transgressions, that they will enter Paradise, abiding therein eternally, either directly or after punishment, merely by uttering the Two Testimonies (Shahadatayn), while considering the denial of seeing God or His transcendence from certain attributes as disbelief that necessitates eternal abode in Hell?

The word of Tawhid (monotheism) saves its utterer, who is certain of it, from eternity in Hellfire. The doctrine of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah is that whoever dies a monotheist, even if disobedient, his ultimate destination is Paradise. Even if he is punished in Hellfire according to the extent of his disobedience, he must eventually exit it and enter Paradise. They cite prophetic narrations such as: "He will emerge from the Fire who said 'La ilaha illa Allah' (there is no god but Allah) and in his heart is the weight of a grain of goodness," and "No servant said 'La ilaha illa Allah' and then died upon that except that he entered Paradise."

Ahl al-Sunnah differ from the Murji'ah in that they consider deeds to be part of faith, and that abandoning them entirely is disbelief, and that one who is deficient in them has incomplete faith and is exposed to the threat of punishment. Whereas the extremist Murji'ah believe that a disobedient person has complete faith and will not be punished.

As for the vision of Allah, Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah believe in the possibility of believers seeing Allah in the Hereafter, based on Quranic texts such as His saying: "Some faces, that Day, will be radiant, looking at their Lord," and prophetic narrations such as: "Indeed, you will see your Lord clearly, just as you see this [moon], without any difficulty in seeing Him." Ahl al-Sunnah have unanimously agreed on its occurrence for believers, but not for disbelievers, while some sects, such as the Mu'tazilah and some Murji'ah, have denied the vision of Allah.

The promise and threat of Allah in the Book and Sunnah cannot be compared to indulgences, which have no basis in Islam.
