Is there a solution to the problem of a mosque imam who is not speaking to a person because he asked him about his character, and the imam admitted to holding a grudge against this man?

We advise the Imam to overcome the evil promptings of his soul and to ensure the soundness of his heart, free from hatred towards any Muslim. He should know that animosity (ash-shahna’) can be a reason for being deprived of forgiveness, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The gates of Paradise are opened on Mondays and Thursdays, and Allah forgives every servant who does not associate anything with Allah, except for a man between whom and his brother there is animosity. Then it is said: 'Look at these two until they reconcile.'"
