What is the ruling on the prayer and fasting of a man who took his wife's money without her consent, believing it to be his right as the responsible man and guardian?

It is not permissible for a husband to take his wife's money unless she willingly consents, because taking money without right is consuming it unlawfully. As for the acceptance of prayer and fasting, that is up to Allah. However, consuming haram (unlawful earnings) exposes good deeds to rejection and non-acceptance. Indeed, Muslim narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "O people, Allah is Good and accepts only good... Then he mentioned a man who undertakes a long journey, disheveled and dusty, extending his hands to the sky, 'O Lord, O Lord!' while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished by unlawful things. How can he then be answered?" There are many reasons for the non-acceptance of deeds, the greatest of which is associating partners with Allah and various forms of disbelief, and among them is consuming haram.
