Whoever among the refugees knows that he will stay in the camp for four days or more, then he is a resident, and the rulings applicable to residents apply to him, such as the obligation to complete prayers and fasting. As for Friday prayer, the majority of jurists stipulate for its obligation a built village and the settlement of its people therein. "As for the people of tents, hair houses, and those in motion, Friday prayer is not obligatory upon them, nor is it valid from them." Camps resemble the Bedouins who live in tents, so Friday prayer is not obligatory upon them, unless their camps are in a city or village, or they are close to a town where Friday prayer is established and they hear the call, in which case they must strive to attend it.
