Is it true that the grave of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, is in Afghanistan, and if not, then where is it?

Scholars and historians have differed on the burial place of Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, with several opinions. The most accurate among them is that he was buried in the palace of the emirate in Kufa, and the location of his grave was concealed so that the Khawarij would not desecrate it. As for the shrine in Najaf, which the Shiites claim to be the grave of Ali ibn Abi Talib, it is a falsehood. It was publicized by the Shiite Adud al-Dawla al-Buwayhi, and some scholars have suggested that it is the grave of Mughira ibn Shu'ba. Furthermore, the claim of his grave being in Afghanistan is even further from the truth and is one of the fabrications of the grave-worshippers. Even if his grave's location were known, polytheistic acts such as supplicating, circumambulating, and slaughtering sacrifices there are considered major shirk (polytheism).
