What is the ruling on candy molds that are in the shape of plants or animals, and are used for pouring candy so that it takes the shape of the mold?

There is no Shar'i (Islamically lawful) impediment to making sweets in the shape of plants or inanimate objects. However, making them in the shape of animals or living beings is not permissible if they are complete in their creation and permanent. It is permissible if they are missing parts that make life impossible. Scholars differed regarding the ruling on what is not permanent.
