Is it permissible to suffice with a single tasleem at the end of the prayer by saying, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah"?

The first salutation (taslima) is obligatory, and the second is recommended. If someone limits themselves to one taslima, their prayer is valid by consensus. If the worshipper limits themselves to one taslima, it is recommended for them to say it facing straight ahead. If they say two taslimas, they should say the first to their right and the second to their left, turning their head with each taslima.
