Does a solitary worshiper and an Imam make the salutation to the right only, or to the right and left at the end of the prayer?

The preponderant opinion is that the prescribed salutation (Taslim) in prayer consists of two salutations for the individual praying alone, the Imam, and the congregant in prayers that involve standing, bowing, and prostrating. As for other prayers, such as the funeral prayer, the prostration of recitation (Sujud al-Tilawah), and the prostration of thankfulness (Sujud al-Shukr), they involve only one salutation.
