The answer

What the woman said to the man is false, and what occurred between them of forbidden actions is a reprehensible evil and a clear sin. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called it zina (fornication/adultery), saying: "The son of Adam's share of zina has been decreed for him, and he will inevitably attain it. The zina of the eyes is looking, the zina of the ears is listening, the zina of the tongue is speaking, the zina of the hand is striking, the zina of the foot is walking, and the heart desires and wishes, and the private parts affirm or deny that." The expiation for this is sincere repentance by abstaining from the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it, along with concealing oneself and avoiding the causes of disobedience.
