The answer

The age of maturity is defined by the sound management of wealth and the ability to invest it. This is determined through testing and, according to the majority of jurists, there is no specific age for it. If a person reaches maturity as a رشيد (sound and discerning individual), their legal capacity is complete, and financial guardianship over them is lifted, at which point their wealth is handed over to them. However, if they reach maturity as a غير رشيد (unsound or undiscerning individual), their wealth is not handed over to them until their رشْد (soundness/discretion) is established, in preservation of their wealth and their best interest.
