The answer

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, treated his mahrams with the best of treatment. Among what has been reported in this regard is what Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, mentioned: that Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with her, was the most similar of people to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in manner, appearance, guidance, speech, and conversation. It is permissible to shake hands with mahrams, embrace them, and kiss them on other than the mouth upon returning from travel and the like, as long as suspicion is absent and temptation is secure.
