How does one combine abundant seeking of forgiveness with abundant sending of blessings upon the Prophet?

"Frequent seeking of forgiveness (Istighfar) and sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) are among the greatest acts of obedience, the best means of drawing near to Allah, and the most excellent forms of remembrance. To maintain consistency in them, the tongue must always remain moist with them, alternating between them at all times and in all situations, as Allah Almighty says: 'Those who remember Allah while standing or sitting or [lying] on their sides.'"
