It is not permissible for a manager to prevent employees from performing congregational prayer in the mosque, due to its obligation. If he insists on preventing it, then the employee who is in need of the job is excused and may pray in congregation in his office. Fear for one's livelihood is among the excuses that permit abandoning congregational prayer.
