Is it permissible for me to stop praying congregational prayers in the mosque and suffice with praying at home, given that I suffer from ear sensitivity to loud noises, and there are many loudspeakers and a loud imam's voice in the mosque?

Congregational prayer is obligatory for the adult, capable man who hears the call [to prayer]. Exemptions for not attending include illness, fear of contracting or worsening an illness, as well as hardship and harm. If loud noise in the mosque causes pain or excessive hardship, this is an excuse for not attending the congregation there. If there is another nearby mosque whose call you can hear, then congregational prayer is obligatory for you there; otherwise, it is not obligatory. It is, however, recommended to strive to attend congregational prayer even if the mosque is far.
