Is the retrieval of borrowed books that have not been used subject to the ruling of returning a gift?

Reclaiming a borrowed item is not considered a retraction of a gift, which is forbidden. Borrowing (Ariya) is the permission to benefit from an item while its ownership remains with its owner, whereas a gift (Hibah) is the transfer of ownership of property to another without compensation. There is no sin upon someone who reclaims books they lent to others.
