Is it permissible to name someone "Nurullah" (Light of Allah) in Islam, and how can a person be convinced that it is not permissible to name someone that, and are there angels from the Light of Allah?

It is disliked to be named "Nurullah" (Light of Allah) because it may suggest that the named person is an attribute of Allah, and this is a false belief. Also, if light is an attribute of existing entities, it should not be attributed to Allah, in addition to the self-praise that is forbidden in this naming. It is preferable to change the name if it implies that the intention is Allah's Light, which is His attribute.
