What is the ruling on delaying prayer due to washing the male organ after repeated arousal experienced by one afflicted with excessive scrupulosity (waswasa)?

The cure for obsessive thoughts (waswas) is to ignore them and not pay attention to them. It is not obligatory to wash the penis and its surroundings merely due to arousal. Istinja' (cleaning oneself after urinating or defecating) is required when pre-ejaculatory fluid (madhi) exits, by washing only the area of impurity. Nothing is required if there is doubt about its exit. One should be keen to direct thoughts towards what benefits them in religious or worldly matters.
