Does the meaning of the Almighty’s saying: (Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds) signify that Allah replaces evil deeds with good deeds only, or does He replace the situation in which the evil deed was committed with another good situation, in addition to replacing the evil deed with a good deed?

A group of exegetes held that the transformation of evil deeds into good deeds occurs in this world, where Allah replaces the abominable actions of theMشركين (polytheists) with good deeds in Islam. Others said that this transformation will take place on the Day of Judgment, where a servant's minor sins will be presented to him, and his major sins will be concealed, then he will be given a good deed for every evil deed. Some said that Allah erases all evil deeds through regret, and then establishes a good deed in place of every evil deed.
