The residents of Jeddah and others from various regions are required to perform the Farewell Circumambulation ( al-Wada') before departing from the Sacred Precinct (), so that their last act is with the House (Kaaba), based on the general statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Let no one of you depart until his last act is with the House."
Whoever omits it must offer a sacrifice (dam) to be slaughtered in Mecca and distributed among the poor and needy. Their Hajj remains valid. An exception to this is a menstruating woman.
