Is it permissible or forbidden to implant a small amount of natural hair at the front of the head—to improve appearance and cover a wide forehead that a person was born with—and does this fall under the Hadith, "Allah has cursed the woman who adds hair extensions and the woman who asks for them to be added"? And if it is forbidden, then is it permissible to implant it through a surgical procedure using hair follicles?

It is permissible to transplant hair on the head. This does not fall under the prohibited category of hair extensions (Al-Wasl), nor is it considered an alteration of Allah's creation. Rather, it is a restoration of what Allah created, and it falls under the category of permissible treatment, as it is a regrowth in its proper place. This is supported by the story of Arfajah ibn Sad (may Allah be pleased with him) when his nose was cut off on the Day of Al-Kilab, and he subsequently had a nose made of gold by the command of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Baldness is a physical defect, and therefore, it is permissible to get rid of it and treat it.
