The answer

Intentionally breaking the fast in without a valid excuse is one of the major sins, and its perpetrator must offer sincere repentance. Its expiation is feeding sixty needy persons, each receiving a mudd (a measure) of the staple food of the people of the land (approximately 750 grams). It is not permissible to give more than one mudd to a single needy person, unless the expiation is for multiple days, in which case it is permissible to give a mudd for each day to the same needy person.
