The correct ruling regarding it is that if the husband intended the divorce to occur, it takes effect as soon as the wife violates the condition, and it counts as one divorce. The husband must take her back if it was the first or second divorce. However, if the husband intended to prevent her from shouting and did not intend divorce, then this falls under the ruling of an oath, and he must offer expiation for breaking an oath; in this case, no divorce occurs.
