Is it permissible to combine daily adhkar (remembrances of Allah) with listening to religious lessons by dedicating the tongue to dhikr and the heart to the lecture?

The remembrance of the heart is essential for remembrance (dhikr), but it is not obligatory. The presence of the heart with dhikr is better than abandoning it. Listening to scholarly lessons is very important, and scholarly gatherings are the best gatherings for dhikr. One must combine both matters, by allocating time for learning and emptying the heart for it, and another time for dhikr with the presence of the heart and contemplation of the meanings of the remembrances.
