What are the wife's rights, and is the husband obligated to pay the value of the list of movables if consummation has not occurred?

If a wife is divorced before a proper seclusion (khalwa sahiha) in which intercourse is possible, she is entitled to half of the mahr (dower). It is recommended that one of the spouses forgives the half due to them to the other. However, if a proper seclusion has occurred, it takes the ruling of consummation, and the wife is entitled to the full mahr. She is also obliged to observe the 'iddah (waiting period) and is entitled to maintenance from the time of seclusion until the end of the 'iddah. As for the list of movables (al-qa'ima), if it was stipulated in the contract or if custom dictates that it is part of the mahr, then the wife is entitled to half of it upon the contract and all of it upon consummation.
