The answer

There is no harm in adopting what one finds preponderant and what the heart is reassured by, from the sayings of reliable scholars, such as Ibn Taymiyyah. This is not considered blameworthy seeking of concessions. Many of Ibn Taymiyyah's views on divorce have been adopted by courts.
