What can be done for a friend to be guided and distance himself from bad companions who engage in inappropriate acts?

It is not permissible for a man to touch another man's body in areas that are impermissible to look at, especially the grave 'awrah (private parts). If the touching is done with the intent of deriving pleasure, it is unanimously considered unlawful (haram), and this act is deemed an aberration. Its perpetrator should be advised gently and wisely, clarifying the unlawfulness of masturbation and the danger of bad company, and emphasizing the necessity of choosing righteous companions. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A person is on the religion of his intimate friend, so let each one of you look at whom he befriends," and "Do not associate except with a believer, and let no one eat your food except a pious person."
