Is it permissible or forbidden for a husband to travel if his wife objects to it? And is the wife wrong in her objection to his travel?

It is the wife's right upon her husband that he not be absent from her for more than six months, unless there is an excuse. If his absence is for the purpose of earning a livelihood, then he is excused. Otherwise, it is not permissible for him to do so, and it is better for him not to prolong his absence. The wife should communicate with her husband and explain to him her need for his presence, and she should be patient, seek help from Allah Almighty, and occupy her time with what benefits her until his return.
