What is the ruling on going to folk medicine practitioners who ask for one's name and mother's name, and claim to use the word of Allah in their treatment?

Whoever uses jinn and claims knowledge of the Unseen in treatment is a soothsayer, and it is impermissible to seek treatment from him or to consult him, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever comes to a soothsayer and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty nights," and "Whoever comes to a soothsayer or a diviner and believes what he says, has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad." Everyone who claims knowledge of the Unseen by using methods such as casting pebbles or asking the patient for his name and his mother's name is among the diviners and soothsayers whom it is forbidden to consult or believe. It is obligatory to beware of them, even if they claim to treat with the Quran, for they are people of falsehood and deception. And it is obligatory upon anyone who knows one of them to report him to the authorities so that they may judge him according to Allah’s law and protect people from their evil.
