The narrated by Ahmad and Al-Hakim, and authenticated by Al-Dhahabi, from Amir ibn Abdullah ibn Al-Zubayr, from his father, states that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Announce the marriage." Al-Tirmidhi narrated from Aisha, with the wording: "Announce this marriage, and perform it in the mosques, and beat drums for it." Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a gharib hadith (a strange but good hadith). As for writing the woman's name on the invitation card, it has no relation to the public announcement of the marriage, as witnessing the marriage and holding a (wedding feast) are sufficient for the announcement.
