How can one get rid of feelings of hatred and aversion towards those who have wronged him, and deal with them normally?

A Muslim should be moderate in love and hate, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Love your beloved moderately; perhaps one day he will be your hated one. And hate your hated one moderately; perhaps one day he will be your beloved one." Among the characteristics of a Muslim are purity of heart, loving and hating for the sake of Allah, and embodying the ethics of Islam such as pardoning and overlooking those who do wrong, and responding to their wrongdoing with kindness, for Allah Almighty says: "So pardon them and overlook; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good," and He says: "But whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah," and He says: "And that you pardon is nearer to righteousness." A Muslim should not bear malice and hatred towards his brothers. The remedy for this is to strive against one's self, to do good to those with whom one has a dispute, and to pray for them.
