The husband's statement, "I don't want you," is a veiled expression (kinayah) through which divorce occurs if he intends it. However, his statement, "I will start divorcing," is a promise by itself, divorce does not occur, nor is he obligated to fulfill it. His statement, "and every five minutes another divorce," is also a promise to divorce, and no divorce results from it. Therefore, as long as the husband has not carried out his threat of divorce, no divorce has occurred to the wife.
