Do the obligatory prayers in the House of Allah in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the Messenger's Mosque in Madinah Al-Munawwarah compensate for the missed prayers that one has left for decades, taking into account the virtue of praying in them?

Scholars have differed regarding making up prayers intentionally missed. The majority of scholars hold that it is obligatory to make them up, along with repentance. However, Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah stated that making them up is not prescribed, and that repentance and supererogatory prayers suffice. The fatwa (religious edict) is in accordance with the opinion of the majority, and making them up is obligatory according to one's ability. Whoever repents and strives to make them up bears no sin. As for the virtue of praying in the Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram) and the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi), the reward is multiplied, as stated in the hadiths: "A prayer in the Prophet's Mosque is better than a thousand prayers [elsewhere], and in the Sacred Mosque is better than one hundred thousand prayers." However, this multiplication does not negate the accountability for missed prayers that have become due; rather, it is a grace from Allah.
