What is the ruling on a repentant woman eating from what she saved from acting or art, if she has no other source of income? And is it permissible for her to keep this money, or must she dispose of it? And if she must dispose of it, how can she meet her needs, especially if she is elderly and unable to work?

All praise is due to Allah for the female artists who have taken the path of repentance. We ask Allah to keep them steadfast, accept their repentance, and guide others.

As for money acquired through forbidden means before repentance, it falls into two categories:

1. Money to which the rights of others are attached: This must be returned to its owners if possible; otherwise, it should be given as charity on their behalf. 2. Money to which the rights of others are not attached: This must be disposed of by spending it on the welfare of Muslims.

If the repentant person is in need, it is permissible for them to spend from the money to which the rights of others are not attached, or from money to which the rights of others are attached but cannot be delivered to them, provided it does not exceed their basic needs such as housing, food, clothing, and transportation.
