What is the authenticity of the story of Omar, may God be pleased with him, sleeping among the people and Al-Hurmuzan saying: "You ruled justly, so you were safe, so you slept"?

This saying about Omar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, has been narrated in several versions, including: 1. Al-Waqidi's narration: This speaks of a failed assassination attempt on Omar by Wathiq ibn Musafir, who saw him sleeping alone, guarded by a lion. He said: "O Omar, you have ruled justly, and thus you are secure. By my father, by Allah: he is protected by creatures, guarded by beasts, described by angels, and known by jinn." This chain of narration is weak due to the presence of unknown narrators. 2. Al-Tabari's and Ibn al-Jawzi's narration: This is from Al-Hurmuzan, who, when he saw Omar sleeping without guards or a doorkeeper, asked: "Where are his guards and his doorkeeper?" They replied: "He has no guard, no doorkeeper, no scribe, and no registry." He said: "Then he ought to be a prophet." They said: "Rather, he performs the deeds of prophets." This chain of narration is very weak. 3. Ibn Sa'd's and Ibn Asakir's narration (with an authentic chain): From Anas ibn Malik, that Al-Hurmuzan saw Omar ibn Al-Khattab reclining in the Prophet's Mosque, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: "By Allah, this is the serene king."

It should be noted that a just leader having guards does not contradict justice. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, requested those who would guard him, and this is considered taking lawful precautions to protect the leader.
