The answer

The virtue of reciting takbir during the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah is immense because these are great days by which Allah has sworn an oath, and righteous deeds performed therein are beloved to Allah.

Takbir is one of the righteous deeds during these days, and its prescribed forms are numerous, including: "Allahu Akbar.. Allahu Akbar.. La ilaha illa Allah, Allahu Akbar.. Allahu Akbar.. Wa lillahi al-hamd" (Allah is the greatest.. Allah is the greatest.. There is no god but Allah, Allah is the greatest.. Allah is the greatest.. And to Allah belongs all praise), or by repeating "Allahu Akbar" three times.

Takbir is divided into: - Unrestricted (Mutlaq): It begins from the start of Dhu al-Hijjah (sunset on the last day of Dhu al-Qidah) until the last of the days of Tashreeq (sunset on the thirteenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah). - Restricted (Muqayyad): For those not performing Hajj, it begins from the dawn of the Day of Arafah until the sunset of the last of the days of Tashreeq, after the obligatory prayers. As for the pilgrim, the restricted takbir begins for them from the Dhuhr prayer on the Day of Sacrifice.
