Will Allah be pleased with a second marriage if I sought a divorce from a previous undesirable marriage and married a committed young man?
It is not permissible to force a woman into marriage. If she is compelled, she has the right to demand annulment unless she later consents to it. As for a woman seeking divorce (talaq) or khul' without a legitimate religious reason, it is not permissible, based on the hadith: "Any woman who asks her husband for a divorce without any harm (or compelling reason), the scent of Paradise will be forbidden to her." The stability of marital life does not necessarily require love; rather, it is achieved through patience, overlooking faults, and focusing on the good aspects. Divorce should only occur after exhausting attempts at reconciliation, and it is religiously disliked if there is no need for it. It is also not permissible to incite a woman against her husband, and this is considered one of the major sins.
