Does the noble verse: {And if Allah were to expand the provision for His servants, they would surely transgress in the earth} mean that all rich people transgress in the earth, and what is the meaning of transgression in this context?

The believer is thankful in prosperity and patient in adversity. Allah may test him with wealth or poverty. Allah sends down provision in due measure, out of wisdom. For if He were to extend the provision for His servants, they would surely transgress in the earth, as He Almighty said: "And if Allah were to extend the provision for His servants, they would surely transgress in the earth; but He sends down in due measure what He wills. Indeed, He is, concerning His servants, Acquainted and Seeing." So, Allah gives and withholds by His wisdom and His knowledge of what is best for the conditions of His servants. Perhaps some people are not rectified except by poverty, and others except by wealth. If He were to enrich everyone, they would transgress, and if He were to impoverish them, they would perish. Transgression is exceeding limits and trespassing. Some people, when Allah grants them abundance, exceed their bounds, so poverty would be better for them. Others acknowledge Allah's right when provision is abundant.
