Is sending food (such as milk, juice, or dates) to worshippers in the mosque with the intention of charity considered an act of charity?

We ask Allah to accept from you what you sent to the mosque community as an accepted charity, for "Indeed, actions are by intentions," and "Indeed, for every person is what he intended." The charity of the giver may be accepted due to his good intention, even if it does not reach its intended recipient.
