Is it permissible for a student not to attend university due to his ability to study at home, and to avoid what displeases Allah there, especially since attendance is not compulsory?

There is no harm in missing lessons if attendance is not crucial, or if attending them involves something that displeases Allah. A person must consult their heart and soul, for righteousness is that which brings tranquility to the soul, and sin is that which wavers in the heart and causes unease in the chest.
