How authentic is the circulating story about the cloak of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with which the blind man was cured and regained his sight?

This hadith has not been reported in the books of Sunnah or the Prophet's biography, and it appears to be fabricated and falsely attributed to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
