What is the ruling on praying with the intention of repeating the prayer?

If a Muslim performs the prayer fulfilling its conditions and pillars, their prayer is valid and suffices for the obligatory duty, and it is not permissible for them to repeat it. This is because repeating it in such a case is closer to innovation (bid'ah) or a yielding to the whisperings of Satan. However, if the repetition is due to an inability to fulfill some conditions or pillars, some scholars have permitted it in rare cases, while others have deemed it obligatory or recommended. The correct view is that whoever performs what they are capable of and prays according to their ability, there is no repetition required of them, and their first prayer is valid and sufficient. So, whoever performs what they have been commanded to the best of their ability is not required to pray twice, unless there was neglect or transgression on their part, such as one who intentionally leaves a duty they are capable of performing due to forgetfulness or sleep. As for one who is unable to fulfill what is obligatory, such as a person praying unclothed due to lack of covering, or without recitation due to its impossibility, or who cannot complete bowing and prostration due to illness, there is no repetition required of them.
