Is it permissible to trade cats for profit, and what is the ruling of Islamic law on that?

The fatwa is correct, and the preponderant opinion is the prohibition of selling cats, due to the authenticity of the narrations concerning the prohibition of their sale. The questioner is advised to abandon this investment and seek permissible profitable projects, in accordance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Be keen on what benefits you, seek Allah’s help, and do not be helpless," and his saying when asked about the best earning: "A blessed sale and a man's work with his own hands."
