What is the share of one who was not given a share of the life of this world?
Pessimism is not a characteristic of a believer, as it contradicts belief in divine decree and destiny (al-qada' wa al-qadar), which is one of the pillars of faith. A believer must face divine decree and destiny with an open heart and a contented soul, and be certain that their share in life is not limited to worldly gain. Their primary concern should be faith in Allah and His messengers, obedience to His commands, and contentment with His decree and destiny, for every portion Allah has ordained for them will reach them. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A servant does not truly believe until he believes in divine decree, its good and its evil, until he knows that what befell him could not have missed him, and what missed him could not have befallen him." And a believer is required to praise Allah in every state, for they are blessed with numerous bounties that warrant praise and gratitude, and they are spared from many adversities.
