What is the ruling on wearing an embroidered garment if its owner made it without knowing of the prohibition against wearing it?

Embroidered Garments: - If embroidered with gold and silver: Absolutely impermissible for men, but absolutely permissible for women. - If embroidered with silk: Absolutely permissible for women. Permissible for men in cases of necessity or itching, or if the amount of silk is small, equivalent to four fingers or less, based on the hadith of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) forbade wearing silk, except for a space of two, three, or four fingers.” - If embroidered with materials other than precious metals and silk: There is no objection for men or women; it falls under permissible adornment.

It is not permissible for a man to wear silk or precious metals, except for what has been specifically exempted. He is not allowed to dispose of the forbidden item by throwing it away; rather, he should sell it, give it as a gift to a woman, or give it in charity.
