Is it established that the reason for the revelation of Surah Al-Ikhlas was the request of the polytheists of Quraysh to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to tell them about the lineage of Allah, and that the reason for the revelation of Surah Al-Kafirun was the offer of the disbelievers of Quraysh to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he worship their gods for a year and they worship his God for a year?

The reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Kafirun is that the Quraysh offered the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that they would worship Allah on condition that he share in the worship of their deities. So it was revealed as a declaration of disavowal from polytheism. As for the reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Ikhlas (definition), although a weak narration relates from Ubayy ibn Ka'b that the polytheists asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the lineage of his Lord, and so it was revealed, this hadith (definition) has multiple corroborating narrations through mursal chains. Among them is what Jabir narrated, that they asked the Prophet for a description of his Lord. Other narrations mention that the Jewish rabbis or Jews in general requested that. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, Al-Suyuti, and Al-Albani graded this hadith as hasan (definition) due to its numerous chains and multiple sources.
